The California State University, Monterey Bay Small Business Development Center (CSUMB SBDC) is part of a nationwide program that provides business technical assistance to small businesses.

The CSUMB SBDC is locally hosted by California State University, Monterey Bay and regionally hosted by the University of California, Merced in partnership with the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

The services provided by the CSUMB SBDC include covering the basics of start-up, marketing a product or service and financing a small business. Other topic specific workshops are offered as community needs are assessed.

It is the vision of the CSUMB SBDC to be the premier provider of business development services in the Monterey, San Benito and South Santa Clara Counties.

Mission Statement
The CSUMB SBDC was established to meet the specialized needs of small business owners in communities throughout eastern Monterey, western San Benito and southern Santa Clara Counties. It’s mission is to promote the development and growth of effective and ethical small businesses that can excel in today’s diverse, global economy.
